Exemplification

It's been a 6 day hiatus from AP Lang, but we resumed with our vocab, tone, and exemplification work. In all classes, we looked at the 5 stages of exemplification: brainstorming, thesis, relevancy, range, and specificity. To practice these stages, you have begun a group exemplification on the abstract noun "vision" in various steps. If you were in class, you have brainstormed a substantial list of examples from various subjects (remember, you want to pull from all of your knowledge banks - literature, history, science, math, pop culture, current events, politics, anything and all that would convey examples of those with vision), constructed a team thesis statement, and (in first and fifth hours) selected the relevant examples. If you were not in class, you should prepare a brainstorm of examples of "vision" for next time as you will either be placed into a group with other absentees or be added to a preexisting group.

And don't forget to be in class tomorrow - we have a 2 passage MC district assessment to take to see how you handle a partial AP exam.
