Before we jump into the fast-forward version of American literature, which will start our next class session and will allow all of our acting skills to be on full display, today was the alternative assessment for those not taking the actual AP exam or those wishing to improve their quarter and semester grades.
After Monday's class, you have either completed the final class prompt or will be turning in the work today due to absence or being part of seventh hour -- yes, we were a tad behind the other classes on this assignment.

Mr. & Mrs. Bennet
From seventh hour on Wednesday and from first and third today, we read the opening chapters of two texts featuring the world of Mr. & Mrs. Bennet and their societal conflicts. Any absentees will need to make this up on Monday.

The Shoe Winner
After our test has been completed, we might as well have a blog regarding the less serious side of AP Lang.
As third hour found out yesterday, the top shoe selections are not available in my size, so the "winning" shoes still had the most votes but, alas, will not find their way onto my feet.

Time for the 5
After three review sessions during school and one lengthy one after school, I know I am ready to take the AP Lang exam. Oh, wait. I can't! However, that should not stop you from doing your best tomorrow and utilizing all those writing techniques and multiple choice strategies to improve your overall score. After all the card play today, look what you have learned over the course of these 8 months!
Breakfast is at 6:50 tomorrow -- review your portfolios tonight, sleep well, eat heartily, and be ready for our walk across the way to the exam!

The Third
For first and third hour today, you completed the last prompt for our practice exam. During next week's two days, we will analyze the test scores, do my favorite analysis all year, and review for the exam.
Seventh hour, you have the joy of that prompt on Friday.
Don't forget after school review sessions to prep for the exam. Yes, you are all prepared from a year's worth of multiple choicing and prompting, but it does not hurt to have a refresher prior to the big day.

Two Prompts for the Price of One
If you missed today's class, you will need to make a lengthy appointment to take the 2 prompts from today. These prompts are a package deal and must be taken together.
For our next class session, you will have the final prompt of this practice exam.
Monday and Tuesday will be the analysis of the exam and a few final practices for the AP Lang test next Wednesday.
Don't forget after school sessions to review close reading, multiple choice, rhetorical analysis, argument, synthesis, and rhetorical strategies. I brought my green box of prompts today, so we are covered for the next week!

We began our last full practice test today with the MC portion of the exam. Any absentees will need to schedule a time this week to complete the test. It runs one hour and would best be completed during a study hall.
Tomorrow is the combo of 2 prompts in which you choose the order of completion.
